Recipe for Yeast Flakes

Cheesy" Garlic & Yeast Flake Popcorn (Vegan, High-Protein Snack)

(Serves 2)

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup popcorn kernels (air-popped or stovetop)

  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast flakes

  • 1 tbsp melted coconut oil (or olive oil)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika

  • ¼ tsp salt (or tamari for depth)

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • Pinch cayenne (optional, for heat)


Instructions:

  1. Pop the corn – Use your preferred method (stovetop, microwave, or air popper).

  2. Make seasoning – In a small bowl, mix nutritional yeast, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and cayenne.

  3. Toss – Drizzle warm popcorn with oil, then sprinkle seasoning while tossing to coat evenly.

  4. Serve immediately – For extra crispness, bake at 250°F (120°C) for 5 mins.
