1 lb (450g) ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)

2–3 tbsp taco seasoning (SpicenEasy)
-
½ cup water
-
1 tbsp olive oil (optional, if beef is lean)

8 taco shells (hard or soft)
-
Toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, salsa, avocado, etc.
Instructions:
-
Brown the Beef:
-
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add oil if needed, then cook ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon, until no longer pink (~5–7 mins). Drain excess fat if desired.
-

Add Seasoning & Simmer:
-
Sprinkle taco seasoning over the beef, then pour in water. Stir well and simmer for 3–5 mins until thickened.
-
-
Warm Tortillas:
-
Heat hard shells in the oven (per package instructions) or warm soft tortillas in a dry skillet for 30 secs per side.
-
-
Assemble Tacos:
-
Fill shells with beef and top with your favorites: cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, etc.
-
Pro Tips:
-
For extra flavor, add 1 tsp cumin or smoked paprika to the seasoning.
-
Vegetarian? Swap beef for black beans, lentils, or plant-based crumbles.
-
Meal prep: Cook a big batch of seasoned beef for taco bowls, nachos, or quesadillas later.
Why It’s a Hit:
-
5-star flavor with minimal effort (thanks to taco seasoning’s perfect spice blend).
-
Endlessly customizable—great for picky eaters or themed dinners.
