Homemade Chicken Salt & Classic Aussie Chips
Servings: Makes ~½ cup chicken salt (enough for 4–6 portions of chips)

Ingredients:
For the Chicken Salt:

¼ cup sea salt flakes (or kosher salt)

2 tbsp chicken bouillon powder (or crushed stock cubes)

1 tbsp garlic powder

1 tbsp onion powder

1 tsp smoked paprika (for color)

1 tsp celery salt (optional)

½ tsp ground turmeric (for golden color)

½ tsp white pepper (or black pepper)
For the Chips:

4 large russet potatoes, cut into thick fries

Vegetable oil (for frying or baking)
Instructions:

Make Chicken Salt:

Blend all dry ingredients in a food processor or mortar/pestle until fine. Store in an airtight jar.

Oven method: Toss potato wedges in oil, bake at 425°F (220°C) for 25–30 mins until crispy.

Deep-fry method: Fry at 350°F (180°C) until golden (3–5 mins). Drain on paper towels.
