Ingredients:

  • 1 cup toor dal (soaked 30 mins)

  • 1 tsp turmeric

  • 2 cups mixed veggies (okra, drumsticks, carrot)

  • 1 tbsp sambar powder

  • 1/2 tsp asafoetida

  • 1 tamarind pulp (golf-ball size)

  • 2 tbsp ghee

  • 1 tsp mustard seeds

  • 10 curry leaves

Key Steps:

  1. Pressure cook dal + turmeric (3 whistles) → whisk until smooth

  2. Simmer with veggies + sambar powder + tamarind water

  3. Temper mustard seeds + curry leaves in ghee → pour over

Pro Tip:

  • For extra creaminess, replace 1/4 cup water with coconut milk
